Seven useful tips for growing your business with #Instagram

‘The Gram,’ ‘Insta,’ or whatever name you want to give: Instagram. A lovely platform that can be used as a marketing tool for your company! Maybe you are already familiar with Instagram, but have no idea how this can be used to give your company an image? Or do you want to know how you can make your page even more successful? We are going to provide you with tips.

How can Instagram contribute to the success of my company?

The positive thing about Instagram is that it offers opportunities to a company. Via Instagram, you can promote products, but also give your clients look behind the scenes. And don’t forget about win-promotions or inspiring your followers with the mission/vision of your company. Instagram can contribute to the success of your business because it gives you the opportunity to show more than just the sales side. People are curious and like to see something they usually do not perceive.

On your Instagram business page, you can now also show photos from behind the scenes. With this you are creative, and you give your company a fresh image. Pictures that you can post to your Instagram business account could be photos of the team at work or the birthday of a colleague who is treated to a cake! Also, success stories of clients will do well on your Instagram page.

A few tips for a successful Instagram page

Write a good biography. This is the first thing people read when they reach your company’s page, without the bio, you will miss out on opportunities. You can put your website or phone number in the biography and generate the interest of your followers and future clients!

Make sure that your company’s corporate identity is reflected in the Instagram page: be creative, but make sure it is not too crowded. A few fixed filters for the photos is sometimes enough! This will give a nice and clear picture when (potential) followers first appear on your page. These images are called your feed. Make your feed jump out, and your followers will remember your feed! “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.”

How do I get followers?

An easy way to generate followers is to follow the right people yourself. But who should I follow? Does the target group consist of women between 30 and 50 years of age? Then it makes little sense to follow Instagrammers around the age of 20 because this target group will not be interested in your product/service. To make it very easy, you can also take a look at the list of followers of your competitor. Send them a follow request and show them that you are also present on Instagram!

If you don’t want to go through all the trouble, you can easily buy followers on Instagram, but make sure you buy them from a trustworthy company. There are many sellers on the internet that provide ‘bot’ followers. The only thing these followers do is increase your followers counter. Provide interaction with your followers

This can be done by asking questions in your messages, but also by reacting enthusiastically to the reactions of your followers. Another simple way: to follow your followers. Be social and visible!

Use hashtags

This is a super handy trick to reach your future followers. These hashtags ensure that people who search for a particular word end up at your page. But for that to happen, you have to specify these words that relate to you or your post. These words are hashtags, and you can add them to your post with the #-symbol. In total, you can add 30 hashtags per post. So think about which words you want to be found and write these hashtags together with your post.

Content is key

So do not just post anything on your page. Utilizing the right content, you can motivate and enthuse your target group. The general idea about content is that it can change every time. The awesome part is that you can scan Instagram accounts to get to know current viral content and post such content on your own feed. So the one time you place a picture from behind the scenes, the next time you put a quote and sometimes a success story!

Stories

#instastories, one of the easiest ways to get in the spotlights. With Stories, you can put an image or video online for 24 hours, which automatically appears to the users that follow you. A general tip that counts for all kinds of content be creative! A recent update allows you to add GIFs, these are like moving emoticons.

The great thing about @jamieoliver’s Instagram page is that he positions himself as a chef but also as a father. He is not only professional but also very personal on his page, which creates a bond with his followers. What Jamie also really likes is his variation of photos and videos!

@starbucks really deliver their vision to their followers. This already begins in the biography in which they write: “Inspiring and nurturing the human spirit.” And if you scroll through their page, you will find some great feed that might inspire you!

@nhhotels has created an Instagram account to ensure huge interaction with their followers. They have created their own #hashtag. Are you already spotting it in the bio? Almost all photos on their Instagram page are from their customers who stay in an NH Hotel and a photo post with the accompanying #TravelWithNh! Super lovely & useful tip; create your own hashtag!

@TOMS is the perfect example of how you can use your Instagram to create a feeling for your company. You see that they not only post about the shoes of TOMS but also that summery/romantic feeling that you get from the shoes!
